7 days without sweets makes 1 weak!

Since I moved down to Florida in March, there has been one very harmful side effect. Stress eating. The stress of the move, the new job, finding a home, being without family and friends, blah blah blah caused me to gain a bunch of weight.

So, last week, I decided to stop eating sweets. No candy. No dessert. Nada. And today, it's been one week. I can truly say it's been torture. Not only do I have the bowl fulls of left over Halloween candy in the office and Charlie's bag of candy at home, we had a food day yesterday at work with tons and tons of desserts. My body has also been very unhappy with me and my lack of sugar/fuel.

But, I have prevailed. I can honestly say it seems like it's been a month, but it's only been a week. I still snack on pretzels, but I'm sticking to the "No Candy/No Sweets" rule as long as I can.

Halloween 2007

Charlie finally got the idea of what Halloween is all about. But not without some fussing.

We first bought him a Lightning McQueen costume, which was a stuffed car he would wear with suspenders. It was very cute. Therefore, he would have nothing to do with it, and cried any time we picked it up.

So, we ended up taking it back, and found a very cute Lightning McQueen pit crew outfit. Of course, Charlie screamed like we were doing surgery on him when we put it on,

but when we told him he could wear his flashy Lightning shoes with it, he decided it was alright. Soon, Charlie had the whole "ring the doorbell, get candy" thing down pat.

We did a good job around the neighborhood, and Daddy decided that Trick or Treating would end when the candy bag weighed more than the child. Charlie did great, and loved ringing the doorbell, yelling "twick or tweat", and dropping the candy in his bag. He got tons of candy, and many compliments on his outfit.

All in All, a great evening!
