Charlie meets Handy Manny

Saturday, we took a trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney MGM Studios). We had promised Charlie a trip the previous weekend, but my job interferred, and so we had to delay it.

Charlie had a big day. He got to see the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show.

Who would guess that a 3 year old would love a show with lots of loud cars, motorcycles and explosions? Go figure!

Then we went to the new Playhouse Disney Live show, which was recently updated to include Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh! Charlie danced through the whole show.

And afterward, we got to meet Handy Manny live. Charlie was a bit tired, and wanted to be held, but gave Manny high fives!

After a quick nap in Daddy's arms while Mommy rode the Tower of Terror, we watched the Beauty and the Beast stageshow, and then decided it was time to come home. It was lots of fun, but a little guy does tend to get tired with that much sun and fun!

Oye, my stomach.

Ok, so the word around here lately has been . . . Fever. Last week, I was sick starting Sunday night with something that caused a pretty good fever (102.6) for a day. The fever broke Monday night, and I returned to work, feeling about 50% there. I made it through the week, though. Over the weekend, I felt much better, and enjoyed some time with the family, including a trip to Epcot to ride a couple of rides and pick up some German glassware that I had promised Kim she could have. Charlie enjoyed the fireworks, and we headed home.

Fast forward to Tuesday. My stomach isn't feeling right, but I attribute it to my diet, and not eating much. Then, Wednesday, full fledge sick. A fever again, and now new stuff, like nausea. I stayed home Wednesday, and spent most of the day asleep. Today, I'm home because I still have a fever, but did manage to eat an Eggo waffle this morning. The silver lining . . . dropped a couple more pounds. But, I'm sure it's mostly water. Still nice to see it on the scale, though.

So, the land of fun and sun hasn't been so much of either this week. And with the writer's strike, TV sucks, so there's not much to watch.

It could be worse. I could be trapped at home in a snowstorm!
