Kimberly's A Little Confused!


No, were not talking about my dear wife. We're talking about Kimberly Williamson-Butler, who is running for mayor of New Orleans. Ms. Williamson-Butler currently serves as the clerk of the Criminal Court in Orleans Parrish. And among her responsiblities is supervising elections in the city of New Orleans. During the floods, she had a little problem with the courts, and was held in contempt of court for her handling of FEMA applications. She spent 3 days in the same jail her department oversees.

Anywho, Kimberly decided, along with 24 other people. to run for Mayor of New Orleans. So, she put up a website www.electkimberly.com. And, it must have been put up quickly.

Someone on her staff who is good with Photoshop, decided to post a photo of Kimberly in the French Quarter. So, they took a photo of Kimberly, and a photo of the French Quarter, a little computer magic, and VOILA!




Only one problem. When's the last time you saw a brightly colored trash can in the French Quarter? Hmm, where else do they have a street that looks like the French Quarter, and has brightly colored, clean trash cans???


That's right. Disneyland has New Orleans Square, where the ever popular Pirates of the Caribbean is located. Apparently, Kimberly's staff doesn't know the real thing from a copy.

Well, I hope Kimberly does a good job in the election. Maybe if she becomes mayor, she can keep the French Quarter as clean as Disneyland does. And, maybe she can install some rides. And sell plush stuffed animals in all the shops in the quarter. And Churros. We need more Churros.

here's an update on this idiot: apparently she was going to be sued by Disney for using their image. In an attempt to circumvent the suit, she doesn't remove the photo and take a picture in the city where she's actually running for mayor, but instead photoshops the Disney trash can out!
