Randman's World

We're very excited. We made an offer on this house, got a counter, made a counter, and now, they have accepted. So, we will be closing on this beautiful home in the Lake Nona area of Southeast Orlando on August 1.

It's very funny. Kim had been checking the internet, and sent me this house months ago. Then, on my own, I had found the house while driving around the neighborhoods by Lake Nona, and had gone in during an open house. We both truly loved this house (which we nicknamed "Miller's House", after Miller, the golden lab who lives there right now).

We found another one that was a bit larger, but they wouldn't dicker on the price, so we came back to this one. The neighborhood is amazing, with paver sidewalks and driveways, perfect landscaping, and a wonderful swimming pool/tot lot/ basketball court. This gated subdivision has everyything on up to million dollar homes. The house has a huge backyard (by Central Florida standards), which the owner referred to as a "3 beer yard". Plus, it's decorated wonderfully, so there is minimal re-painting and re-decorating needed.

We're very excited to get out of the apartment and into a real house!
